Type Walk

Semester 1 Project: Swinburne University is located on prominent shopping district Chapel Street in Melbourne. The brief was to take a walk with your trusty camera in the immediate location and take photos of Type that appeals to you, concentrating on a theme. You were to choose 20 or so images to collate into a book that was organised in InDesign. My "theme" was the prospect of being able to shop for anything. Using the typography I tried to relate it to an object, emotion, random name, action etc in an abstract manner. Sometimes it made sense, sometimes it didn't (just like me really). I placed the names on prices tags to flow with the whole shopping thing I had going. The photos were taken with my Pentax K10 DSLR. I have chosen a few of my favourites to show you.
